True lovers of God

Your presence is a meadow
Where I offer up my soul
As a gift to You
You come down from Your throne
And lock eyes with me
As You connect my heart to Yours
You place my hands in Your palms
You guide me and teach me
I have covered my heart with Yours
Each time our eyes meet
You look deep inside my soul
And lavish me with Your love
Your eyes of mercy and compassion
Speak forgiveness over me
You are excited to teach me
Every chance You get
Because there is a hidden place
In the garden of Your heart
Reserved only for those
Who yearn to dance in Your presence
And listen to You whisper
The secrets and promises
You hold

By Adine Pietersen

(Inspired by Psalm 25: inspired by some of my favourite verses in this Psalm: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 & 14. Verse 14 was the verse that spoke deeply to me. To imagine what it would be like to hear the secrets of God’s heart whispered to me, meant that I had to hide myself completely and constantly in His presence. This is a revelation on its own. For someone to whisper to you means that you need to be very close to them to hear what they are saying in their whispers.)
