He camped outside my heart
Waiting on me to open up
I was stagnant inside my sin
Suppressing His light from shining within
His love never ages
His mercies never changes
Though I pushed His endless grace aside
And to my flesh I used to abide
He held me closely
Tightly
And healed me deeply
Relentlessly
As His whispers became louder
And louder
My need for Him became stronger
And stronger
Until eventually His voice turned into a roar
And above eagles wings I started to soar
Now His camp site is cleared away
And inside me He is here to stay
