Shalom beloveds
The Lord has been speaking so much to me about dancing in the Spirit. When we dance before Him, it is an act of surrender. Letting go of ourselves, our bodies and listening to what the Holy Spirit wants to say to us through movement. As we hear Him, the flow of the moves comes to us immediately. I usually listen to worship music and sing my heart out for God but He taught me something new. He said “I want you to listen to me now. I don’t want to hear you sing or speak, just listen to me.” So when that happens, I stop singing when I hear the words of a gospel song and just feel what the words are saying to me. Through this I’ve discovered words pouring out to my heart through movement. It’s such a powerful thing- to be still and hear the Holy Spirit speak to your heart and soul through dance, allowing the Holy Spirit to move through you. I’ve moved in ways I never learned or saw anywhere before and did moves that I didn’t think I ever could. Taking me completely out of my comfort zone of singing and writing. This is one of the ways the Holy Spirit speaks so loudly. All we have to do is let go and surrender our hearts, minds, spirits AND our bodies to Him, like David who danced wildly before the Lord (2 Samuel 6:14). Come dance before the King… He adores you.
