When we say we follow Jesus, do we TRULY follow Jesus?
Yeshua (Jesus) kept Shabbat (the sabbath) EVERY week and followed ALL of the festivals, laws and commands of Yahweh (God), our Heavenly Father. So when we say we follow and obey Jesus Christ the Messiah, we need to not only say as He says but also REALLY do as He does. True submission to Jesus Christ includes submitting to the commands and laws of God.
“But we’re not living in biblical times” some might protest. Yes, I agree that we don’t currently live in the biblical times, BUT God’s Word is constant, timeless and applies to ALL of mankind. The Word of God is for ALL generations, throughout the ages, because if we say God’s laws, festivals and commands only applied to the people in biblical times then it would mean that Jesus only died on the cross for the people in the biblical times. So to deny God’s laws, commands and festivals would mean to deny Jesus altogether- He came to fulfill God’s law and not to erase God’s law.
